Our inspiration
Our foundation is named after a grandmother who believed true strength is found in lifting others. A nurse, midwife, caregiver and pillar of her community, Buyile’s legacy continues in every young person who is given room to imagine more.
“Buyile” means “they have returned”. We are a return to the values of community, purpose and intergenerational unity.
Built to last.
The Buyile Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organisation with the Department of Social Development since July 2025. Our constitution meets PBO requirements and we are applying for Section 18A status.

Meet our volunteer team
The heartbeat of The Buyile Foundation.
Our volunteers are the hands that guide, the voices that encourage, and the hearts that show up again and again. They are family members, friends, and community supporters who share one belief: when young people see what’s possible, they rise to meet it.
They facilitate our workshops, lead groups on career excursions, manage logistics, capture stories, and offer mentorship and connections. They are not just supervising. They are showing young people what’s possible.
